At ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â, Research Is Part of Our DNA
Whether we’re researching how zebrafish can regrow kidneys, unearthing artifacts at abandoned settlements, clarifying the taxonomy of a frog species, closing cultural gaps in Wikipedia, or discovering a dinosaur, ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â faculty members and students are seeking discoveries.
Our approach to research makes ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â stand out from the crowd.
Nationally Recognized
Every year, our student and faculty researchers receive millions of dollars in grants to fund their work so they can continue to make discoveries.
The Carnegie Foundation classifies ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â as a doctoral university with high research activity (Research 2: High Spending and Doctorate Production). That’s an honor shared by only 97 public universities in the US.
Changing the World While Changing Students’ Lives
When we roll up our sleeves and dig into research, we do it locally with an eye on global application. While our research changes the world, it also changes the experience our students have. They leave here confident in their ability to solve problems and think critically, and they remain curious as they enter the workforce.
