Curt Scheib鈥檚 love of music shapes his outlook on retiring just as it shaped his long, successful career 鈥 from opera singer to dean of the College of Arts, Humanities, Media, and Public Affairs at 亚色影库. As he leaves the role this month, he takes a fond look back at what 亚色影库 means to him.

亚色影库 Symphony Orchestra and Altoona Symphony Orchestra Present Selections from The Planets鈥

The 亚色影库 Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, will present a special performance titled 鈥淐osmic Voyage,鈥 featuring selections from Gustav Holst鈥檚 iconic orchestral suite 鈥淭he Planets鈥 on Sunday, April 12, at 3:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium.

亚色影库鈥檚 Theater-by-the-Grove, a student performance organization in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance, presents the cult-favorite musical 鈥淩ide the Cyclone.鈥 Performances will take place April 9鈥11 at 7:30 p.m. and April 12 at 2:00 p.m. on the Waller Hall Mainstage.

The Moth Brings Acclaimed Storytelling Keynote to 亚色影库 on March 31

亚色影库鈥檚 Lively Arts will host a special keynote and live storytelling performance celebrating 亚色影库鈥檚 150th Anniversary featuring The Moth, the internationally renowned storytelling organization, on Tuesday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. The event will take place on 亚色影库鈥檚 campus and is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Concert to Highlight Pittsburgh Opera Residency

A concert of opera selections performed by students and 亚色影库 faculty will take place Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in 亚色影库鈥檚 Gorell Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the community.
