ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â

After hearing from students, starting this fall, ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â made Lounge its student engagement platform – a place for clubs and organizations to promote their events and for everyone to find out what’s happening at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â.

Not only is Lounge mobile-friendly, it’s mobile first, reflecting what students told us they wanted: ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â event information on their phones. It also offers users more opportunities for groups to more easily keep track of who is coming to their events because Lounge tracks the RSVPs for all events.

Signing up for Lounge is quick and easy, and Lounge makes it easy for you to connect with students who share your interests. Once you have Lounge on your phone, you can browse events or even join groups that interest you. And, once you RSVP, it sends you a reminder, so you don’t miss the event.

Lounge provides all the planning tools students need, including purchase requests and university forms, to plan events; direct messaging within Lounge also simplifies communication within groups, by eliminating the need for additional platforms, such as GroupMe. Lounge is also available to campus departments; users say that the “push notifications” are very useful calls to action for students. Lounge also encourages real-time participation through polls, chats, event feeds, and announcements.

Student Government Association Chief Justice, Nneoma Uchendu, is already seeing benefits to utilizing Lounge.

“I believe that the Lounge platform is helping us at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â increase the level of student leadership amongst all student groups,” Uchendu said. “Students have more direct access to learning about how to build their organization’s platform, run their organizations effectively, and especially in engaging other students.”

Like many students, Uchendu and her organization adopted Lounge at the beginning of the semester, and she can already notice a marked increase in student engagement.
