VA Travel Reimbursement
Reimbursement for mileage or public transportation may be paid to the following:
- Veterans with service-connected disabilities rated at 30 percent or more
- 2. Veterans traveling for treatment of a service-connected condition
- 3. Veterans receiving a VA pension
- 4. Veterans traveling from scheduled compensation or pension examinations
- 5. Veterans whose income does not exceed the maximum VA pension rate
Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC)
CRSC allows certain military retirees to receive both their military retirement pay and VA disability compensations.
Unemployment
The Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) program provides
benefits for eligible ex-military personnel. Benefits are paid by the various branches of
the military, and the program is administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. .

VA Home Loan
A VA Guaranteed Loan is a type of loan made by private lenders such as banks, savings and loans, or mortgage companies to eligible veterans. If you want to purchase a home, condominium, or manufactured home, the VA can guarantee up to $417,000 of the total loan.
This is much higher than you can get with more conventional home loans. If you are
considering refinancing an existing loan, the VA offers you two options: You can refinance to reduce your current interest rate. The cash out option is limited to $144,000. You do not need to finance a down payment on a VA loan. However, certain funding fees and closing costs apply, and you must be able to pay a portion of these fees up-front. With a VA guarantee, you get a mortgage with a competitive interest rate. The lender that loans you the money is protected against loss up to the amount of the guarantee if you fail to repay the loan. for the current table of VA funding fees and information.
Food Stamps
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will help you purchase
food. Many veterans and military members already use SNAP to assist them and their
