Step 1 Process

  • Step 1 is required for participation in field experiences and teacher education professional sequence coursework.
  • Students complete the top section of the application (see “Forms and Documents”), then send it to the academic advisor.
  • Academic advisors review and complete the application for the student.
  • Applications are sent by academic advisors to Lynnette Colton via email, lcolton@iup.edu, by the deadlines below.

Application Deadlines

  • Step 1 Applications for spring eligibility are due by November 15.
  • Step 1 Applications for summer (including FDED 441) and fall eligibility are due by April 15.
