Deadlines for completion of ALL pre-student teaching applications. Late applications will not be accepted:
- November 1 for Spring Placement
- April 1 for Fall Placement

Student Teaching
Deadlines for completion of ALL student applications. Late applications are not accepted:
- September 25 for Spring Placement
- February 25 for Fall Placement

Graduate Special Education
- November 1 for Spring Placement
- April 1 for Summer and Fall Placement
- Students who are employed with the site in which they are completing field placement should arrange their placement and record the mentor teacher details. The clinical services specialist will approve placements for students that are employed at the site.
- Students who are not employed by the site where they wish to complete placement and do not have a mentor teacher in mind should leave the mentor teacher details blank, and the clinical services specialist will work to secure placement with a qualified mentor teacher at the preferred site.
- All clearances uploaded into Castle Branch is a requirement for students who are not employed by the site in which they are completing field placement. Please see Castle Branch and Clearances section for details about how to obtain clearances and create a Castle Branch account.
- An active affiliation agreement is required for all field placement sites, whether the student is employed with the site or not. If an affiliation agreement cannot be executed, the student is responsible for completing placement in a different location with an active agreement.
